JEE Advanced 2023 Postponed, IIT Kharagpur has postponed the JEE Advanced 2023 exam which is scheduled to be conducted on July , 2023. The revised date of the examination will announce soon.
The test organizing organization has postponed JEE Advanced 2023. The exam’s revised dates will be revealed later. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the JEE Main April and May sessions were already postponed. Since then, it’s been speculated that the JEE Advanced would be postponed as well. Previously, the test was set to take place on July 3 of this year.
JEE Advanced 2023 curriculum and practice examination were issued earlier this year by IIT Kharagpur.
The exam’s rescheduled date will be revealed soon. Following the postponing of the JEE Main April and May 2023 exams, the decision was made. The qualifying requirements for JEE Advanced 2023 have been updated, and a score of 75 percent in Class 12th is no longer required for IIT admission. For JEE Advanced 2023, a total of 2,50,000 applicants (from all categories) will be shortlisted. Students would have at least 20 days to prepare for JEE Advanced after Phase 4 of JEE Main 2023.

About JEE Advanced Exam
Every year, under the auspices of the Joint Admission Board, one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee, or the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, conducts JEE Advanced (JAB). All 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines (ISM), admit students to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs (admission at the 10+2 level) based on their JEE Advanced scores.
Candidates can apply for admission to the following courses through JEE Advanced:
- 4-year Bachelors – BTech, BS
- 5-year BArch
- 5-year Dual Degree – BTech, MTech, BS, MS
- 5-year Integrated Masters – MTech, MSc, Dual Degree
The JEE Advanced 2023 exam will be divided into two sessions with two exams each. Paper 1 will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. For the computer-based entrance exam, candidates must first register online. All hopefuls were required to take two examinations based on a preset JEE Advanced syllabus issued by the conducting authority.
The test organizing organization will distribute the JEE Advanced 2023 admission cards. Admission to the IITs will be determined by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), which will be based on candidates’ JEE Advanced scores.
Candidates who pass JEE Main 2023 will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced, which would get them admission to India’s IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers would be allowed to register for JEE Advanced. Due to ‘tied’ ranks/scores in each category, the total number of candidates may be somewhat greater than 2.5.
JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2023
Candidates must pass Paper 1 of the JEE Main 2023 test to be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2023 test. Candidates who want to take this test must meet specific requirements set by JAB. The following are the eligibility requirements for JEE Advanced 2021:
- JEE Main 2023 performance :
Candidates who rank in the top 2,50,000 in all categories in JEE Main 2023 are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam. The percentage of candidates eligible for admissions under different categories from this number is as follows:

- Age limit :
Candidates in the general or OBC-NCL categories who were born on or after October 1, 1996, are eligible to take the test.
The age restriction for candidates who fall under the SC, ST, or PwD categories, however, has been lowered. Candidates who were born on or after October 1, 1991, will be eligible to take the exam.
- A number of attempts :
A candidate may take the JEE Advanced exam a maximum of two times in two years. Candidates who took the JEE Advanced 2020 test for the first time will be eligible to sit the JEE Advanced 2023 test.
4.Appearance in Class 12th Exam or Equivalent Examination Criteria for JEE Advanced 2023:
In either 2023, a candidate must have taken their first class 12 test or comparable examination. Candidates will be able to participate in JEE Advanced 2023 if their Class 12 or equivalent examination board results are released after June 2023.
5.Previous Admission at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs):
If an applicant has been admitted to any IIT, regardless of whether or not he or she has completed the course, he or she will not be allowed. The candidate must not have already accepted any of the IIT seats by reporting to a reporting center. An applicant who has had an IIT admission canceled in the past would not be able to take the JEE Advanced 2023 exam.
JEE Advanced Admission Criteria 2023
For admission to bachelor’s programs, integrated master’s programs, and dual degree programs at IITs, candidates who pass the JEE Advanced 2023 test must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Candidates must have received a minimum of 75% on their Class 12 (or equivalent) board test. The combined grades for SC, ST, and PWD students should be at least 65%.
- Candidates must have scored in the top 20% of their respective Class 12 (or equivalent) board examinations in their respective categories.
Application Fee and Mode of Application
The revised JEE Advanced 2023 application costs have been implemented, and the fees for various categories and genders are shown below.

Payment with Online Mode – Candidates will be transferred to the State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page to pay the registration fee using this method. At this point, you must select one of the following options: Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. A unique registration number will be generated when you successfully pay the price. Aspirants can print this unique number as well as their registration information.
Payment with Offline Mode – At the payment step, applicants must pick “SBI Branch” to create the challan in order to pay JEE Advanced registration fees via the offline method. Aspirants can pay the registration fees in cash at any SBI branch using the printout of this challan. Aspirants must submit payment information after making a payment in order to acquire a unique registration number. They will now be needed to print a copy of their registration information, as well as the unique number.
How to Register for JEE Advanced 2023?

1.Registration Procedure:

- The applicant will be able to add a second cellphone number in addition to the one provided during JEE Main registration.

2.Upload the Scanned Documents:
After you’ve filled out all of the required information, you’ll need to submit the scanned copies of the documents:
- Class 10th certificate as of Date of Birth proof
- The class 12th Mark sheet and certificate
- Category Certificate’s (OBC-NCL certificate/SC/ST/PWD)
- Services scribe form letter
- OCI certificate or PIO card
- DS category certificate
3.Pay Registration Fee of JEE Advanced 2023:
- The registration cost for JEE Advanced can be paid online or offline.
- Fees may only be paid using net banking or debit card in the online method. Please note that you will not be able to pay with a credit card.
- Payments may be made using the SBI bank e-challan in an offline manner.
- Please note that the registration cost for applicants is non-refundable and non-transferable.
